my void and pain
guilt, regrets, and
what if’s
her smile love memories fill

My Mummy believed in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the Sanskrit phrase which means “the world is one family.”

Mummy lived this each day.

Mummy created this for each and every one in her life.

Mummy embodied Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

We miss you.

I miss you, you live in my heart forever.

I am blessed to have you as my Mummy.

I am so grateful to have an audio interview with Mummy, recorded in August 2020 for her 80th birthday. I am also treasuring a voice message from her recently, left to me on a typical day, “Mukta, I am calling you.”

I am forever grateful to have words from a letter she gave me on my 50th birthday.

Mukta, Our Pearl, the precious one!

I always wanted my first child to be a daughter.

Your smile alone will cure your patient.

You have proved to be a perfect daughter and a perfect mother.

We feel so happy, when people introduce us as Mukta’s parents.

We are extremely proud of you!

GOD BLESS YOU!

 ~ MOM

As her daughter—as daughter of a beloved woman physician, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother—I will continue to keep her beautiful legacy alive.

#REFLECT: I invite you to pause and reflect and reassure the affirmations received by a loved one who loves and cares for you and inspires you.
