Hello dear friends of Mukta,
This is her friend and publisher, Shelly Francis of Creative Courage Press. I asked Mukta if I could share some exciting news. Mukta’s humility is something I truly love about her, which lets me be her cheerleader when she is honored for being an amazing physician. Specifically, Mukta Panda was named Woman Physician of the Year by the Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP).
The honor was announced this week in an article by Amber Carter of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Mukta was formally recognized with the honor during the organization’s virtual chapter meeting last month.
The Woman Physician of the Year designation honors a woman physician with a distinguished career in areas of exceptional patient care, medical education, and/or research… Read the article on the UTHSC News blog, including Mukta’s response.
P.S. And in case you missed it, UTHSC’s Peggy Reisser wrote a nice article about Mukta’s recent book, Resilient Threads: Weaving Joy and Meaning into Well-Being, in this August article: UTHSC’s Mukta Panda Uses Life Lessons to Encourage Humanism in Health Care.
Congratulations to Mukta!
Congratulations on a well deserved honor. You are the best !!
